No, you do not need a referral to see a dermatologist at DermAlly. You can book a consultation directly with our MOH-accredited dermatologists at either of our clinics:

• Camden Medical Centre (Orchard): Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm; Saturday, 9am to 1pm.
• i12 Katong: Tuesday to Friday, 9am to 6pm.

Your first consultation is a full assessment of your skin concern. Your dermatologist will:

1. Take a detailed history. This covers when the problem started and how it has changed, what treatments you have tried and how you responded, the skincare products and supplements you use, and any relevant family history.
2. Examine your skin. For moles and pigmented spots, this may include a dermatoscope, a tool that magnifies the area to show deeper structural detail.
3. Arrange tests only if they are clinically needed. Depending on your concern, these may be blood tests, a skin scraping, allergy testing, or a biopsy sent for microscopic review.
4. Explain your treatment plan. Your dermatologist will go through the recommended approach and why it has been chosen, the expected timeline and realistic results, what maintenance involves, and any safety considerations.
5. Advise you on follow-up. You will be told when to return, so your treatment can be reviewed and adjusted.
